At the meeting, Ms. Trinh Thi Mai Phuong, Deputy Director of the Department of Foreign Affairs – Ministry of Foreign Affairs, representative of the delegation, affirmed: The good friendship between Vietnam and Korea has developed rapidly and opened up. wide in many fields. The Forum on Local Cooperation, Investment Promotion and Trade Connection between Vietnam and Korea 2023 is one of the strong highlights and very important activities this time in Korea. It is known that there are many Vietnamese citizens currently living and working here, she hopes Anyang city creates favorable conditions to support Vietnamese citizens.
Ms. Choi Byung In – Chairman of Anyang City Council emphasized: “Anyang city currently has many multicultural families living, including many Vietnamese brides marrying Korean husbands and many international students are studying abroad in here. Anyang City always creates maximum support conditions for Vietnamese citizens. Anyang City is willing to cooperate with Vietnamese localities.”
Mr. Tran Hai Linh – Member of Central Committee of Vietnam Fatherland Front – Chairman of VKBIA Association affirmed: VKBIA Association is always ready to accompany on cooperation between Vietnamese localities and Korean localities, cooperation between agencies and organizations, between Korean businesses and entrepreneurs, promoting the cooperation relationship between Vietnam and Korea to become closer and sustainable development.
Earlier, the delegation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam visited the Smart City Integration Center, located at the headquarters of the City Hall of Anyang City. The delegation exchanged, shared and learned from the experiences of Anyang city, the first city to receive the Korean government’s certification on operating and developing smart city – smart city since 2009.
Working with Anyang City Industrial Promotion Agency, Mr. Cho Kwang-hee, Director of Anyang City Industrial Promotion Agency, said: “Anyang City has many enterprises, companies that are strong in industry and technology development, all are working more actively in business exchanges and cooperation, and further investment promotion in Vietnam is necessary. The delegation also visited and fielded at the Electric Power Plant of GS Power Company, belonging to GS Group – one of the leading corporations in Korea and continues to have orientations for cooperation and investment in Vietnam.
